Cow Elk Call

Built to bring elk in close with realistic high-pitched cow and calf mews, the Longbranch Cow Elk Call uses a reeded design that helps make true-to-life tones easier for beginners while still giving experienced callers the range and control they want. It is designed to perform in a variety of hunting conditions and help hunters sound like the herd when it matters most.

Directions: Place your teeth about a thumb’s width away from the flanged end of the mouthpiece, sealing your lips around it. Blow from your diaphragm while saying “heeee-yaaaa.” Once you reach the “heee” note, quickly release jaw pressure (while keeping lips sealed around mouthpiece) to finish the “yaaaa.” This creates the two-note mew of a cow elk. Moving your teeth closer to the flange will produce quieter calls; moving farther away increases volume and pitch.
